Georgie, a new real estate broker, is concerned that if she doesn’t sell a Florida property by the end of the weekend, she’ll be dismissed from her job. Bea and Truman agree to buy a condominium from her, but Georgie feels terrible when she learns that the condo is near a noisy airport. Frankie forces Georgie to talk them out of the purchase, and Georgie is discharged for not making a sale. At dinner with her ex-husband Wade, Alex is sure he’ll ask her to marry him again. She searches through her chocolate mousse for an engagement ring, but Wade announces he’s marrying someone else the next day. Alex cuts up all of Wade’s clothes still remaining in her closet. Later, however, Alex wishes Wade good luck and meets his new bride. Simon wants Teddy to dismiss some employees to increase revenues. She reluctantly fires eight cutters. Later, Joe, one of the fired cutters, asks for his job back. When Teddy refuses, he points a gun at her. Joe accidentally shoots and wounds Teddy’s accountant, Gordon, then holds Teddy hostage. Simon tries to negotiate with Joe, who finally releases Teddy, then shoots himself.
